In early 2017, my good friend Vince asked me to paint the interior of his new Virtual Reality Gaming Bar opening in Atlanta, GA. We met during the last stretch of him getting his bar ready for opening day so the mural was one of the final touches.

After Revery started really taking off, we started working together on miscellaneous branding standards and projects for the bar. I think we worked so well together that we just continued to collaborate. To this day, Vince and I still work together to help build and maintain Revery’s visual identity.

In January of 2019, the awesome people at Orpheus Brewing reached out to me once again to design another beer can for them. I always love working with Orpheus, so I got started right away. The beer is a German pilsner named Choosers of the Slain. The mythological theme (much like many of Orpheus’ cans) is based off of the German mythology around the Valkyrie.

This theme was basically right up my alley and Orpheus is always kind enough to let the artist “do their thing.” The cans turned out amazing and I can’t thank Orpheus enough for supporting local artists!

King Baby reached out to me at the very beginning of 2017 and asked if I could design their new full-length album, The Big Galoot, which would be dropping in April. After hearing their music, I was even more stoked to do this project. King Baby is a crazy funk/jazz-fusion band from Atlanta that consists of 4 super talented dudes. I had never really done any work for a jazz band, so this was definitely new territory.

Even though I was given almost complete creative control of the album artwork (awesome), I really wanted to make sure the art matched the vibe of the music. The band sent me all of their new tracks that were going to be included on the album and I tried to create something that worked for this style.

In the Winter of 2016, I was asked to design and paint a wall for a client of my work. The company had just bought this enormous space where it would be testing and simulating new business ideas and ventures. This new work environment had no assigned seating, cubicles, etc. and only touch-down stations. Everything about the way they were thinking is very new and innovative. I wanted to design something that represented the chaos and critical thinking that went on inside of the space. Something that seemed messy at first, but when you step back - each aspect of the motif has it's place.

The only stipulation from the client was that the word "MAKE" had to have a place in the design. I pitched a few different treatments and luckily, they went with the craziest one. Definitely a challenge to paint compared to what I usually do. A lot more clean lines and thoughtful detail. Very happy to have created this piece from start to finish.

In the summer of 2015, Jason Pellet of Orpheus Brewing contacted me to do an illustration for their winter Imperial Stout entitled, The Ferryman. The design was to be printed on a 22 oz. bottle and sold throughout Atlanta. Orpheus Brewing is known for choosing local Atlanta artists to contribute to their bottle/can artwork. I was more than happy to help with their newest addition to the roster.

I would like to introduce the third issue of the Living Walls' Volumes! This specific edition covers the extensive work that artist MOMO did in Atlanta's illustrious Boulevard Tunnel. Known for being a derelict pathway that the city seemed to forget about, the Boulevard tunnel was not the most inviting route for pedestrians. Long white walls lined with trash and poor lighting seemed to deter any civilian from taking this walkway, especially at night. Living Walls and The Boulevard Tunnel Initiative took responsibility for reclaiming the tunnel and turning it into something beautiful - but more importantly, something safe for Atlantans on foot. MOMO's extensive use of vibrant, inviting colors and interesting patterns really transformed the tunnel. The entire process was such a blast for all of the volunteers, artists, and civilians involved.

Michael Feinberg is a good friend of mine that ended up coming to me in 2013 to see if I could design the artwork for his group's new album. Humblebrag is an amazingly talented group of jazz musicians that just so happened to kill it with this recording. Seeing that this was going to be a live jazz release, I really wanted to bring something new to the table. Humblebrag isn't your average jazz band, so I wanted to give him something that was different and unique.

This was the second Volume that Living Walls has released in 2013. This specific release revolves around the East Atlanta Village Block Party that we threw in March of 2013. The aim of the Block Party was to raise money and have a good time celebrating the city as well as the finished works of a few great artists. Here is a quick preview of what the East Atlanta Village Volume looked like. Packaging was designed by hand.

One of my first giant projects with Living Walls was to design some kind of printed matter for each of our concepts throughout the year. We usually have a few concepts a year and each one features a handful of artists (local, international, etc.) who come to Atlanta to paint a wall/space/building. The printed brochures that cover the specific artists and their work will be called Volumes and this particular one is our first issue. The French artist ROTI and his controversial mural on University Ave are the subjects of this release. This brochure covers all of the hype.  Packaging was designed by hand.

Before I moved to Atlanta, I had heard that an organization named Living Walls, the City Speaks was doing something really special in the city. This was a volunteer based, non-profit organization that was inviting artists like ROA, Swoon, JR, Jaz, Feral Child, Know Hope, etc. to paint certain walls in the city. As soon as I landed in Atlanta, I was lucky enough to get in contact with them while their designer was stepping down. Ever since then I have been doing work for them in any way that I can.

The work in this category reflects a lot of ideas that were tossed back and forth during the process when I was rebuilding the brand in 2013. We really wanted to strengthen the Living Walls style and image with a much more thought-out identity. After the rough sketches and logo ideas, we moved forward with something I was very pleased with.

Cold Reign is an Indiana based hardcore band containing some good friends of mine. I was more than happy to help out with a bunch of different items for their group. I grew up with a lot of these guys and I really cherish those type of connections, especially in music. They were pretty much down with me taking this in whichever direction that I wished, so that is always fun. While The Noose has still not been released, you can listen to a bunch of their stuff  here.

This was my second time designing a full-length album for Close Only Counts and I was able to really try something new. I took all of my own photos for this project and was more than happy with the way it turned out. Sadly, COC isn't together anymore but this album still kills it. DO BAD THINGS.

In 2011, I participated in one of the most important collaborations of my life, DDT: Territoral Marking with Dusty Neal and Daniel Dienelt. I was a Junior in college at the time when we all three of us started passing around artwork to one another. The idea was to create something and then give it away to the next artist immediately afterwards so that they could inflict their own damage upon the canvas.

Once you handed a few pieces off to the next guy, you never knew what the finished product would be. It was all about the transformation. It was about "marking your territory." After a few months, we decided that we needed to show all of these together in some way. We came up with DDT and our good friends from Conspiracy helped us curate it.
